Dennis Alan Kutzner

Dennis “Denny” Kutzner, 65, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Iowa River Hospice Home. Dennis Alan Kutzner was born on September 29, 1953 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Larry and Bonnie (Jenkins) Kutzner.  He was raised and educated in the Marshalltown School District.  Denny graduated from Marshalltown High School with the class of 1972.  Denny was united in marriage to Shirley Tiger on November 25, 1972 in Marshalltown, Iowa.  From this union two children were born: Kisha and Benjamin Kutzner.  Denny honorably served his Country by enlisting with the United States Army from 1972-1975. He then went on to join the National Guard where he worked his way up to becoming a recruiter.  Denny was employed with Fisher Controls, Marshalltown Hospital and most recently May Tag.  He had a passion for fishing, hunting, collecting knives, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family.  Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife: Shirley Kutzner; two children: Kisha and Benjamin Kutzner; three grandchildren; and three siblings: Terry (Nancy) Kutzner, Kathy (Tom) Stotts and Cindy (Kenny) Baumgart. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
