Dennis V. Leitz

Dennis Leitz, 60, of Marshalltown, died suddenly at his home on Friday, December 24th. A memorial gathering honoring his life will be announced at a later date to occur in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Community. Condolences may be sent to www.mitchellfh.com. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Dennis and his family. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born on March 8th, 1956, in Charles City, IA, he was the son of Virgil and Darlys (Caudall) Leitz. He graduated from the Cedar Falls High School in 1972 and soon enlisted in the United States Marines Corps. He served our country honorably until his honorable discharge in 1974. Dennis was blessed with two children- Brandi (Daniel) Nenow of Evansdale and Neil (Amanda) Leitz of Waterloo, three grandchildren-Makayla, Kya and Jayden; his sister Terry Ashlock of Cedar Falls/Waterloo and brother Lynn Leitz of Waterloo. In death, Dennis rejoined his parents.
