Dennis Ray Richards

Dennis R. Richards, age 79, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

Dennis Ray Richards was born on May 10, 1945, in Alliance, Ohio. He was the son of Harold Arthur and Ann Rose (Bihun) Richards. Following his high school graduation, Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he settled down and called Marshalltown his home. Dennis worked in the logistics and distribution departments for various shipping and trucking companies in the area. In the past, he was a proud union member and organizer. Dennis was formally a commander at the American Legion Post 46, where he devoted much of his free time and efforts to the legion. In his earlier years, he liked to golf and enjoyed spending time talking with different groups of people at the golf course.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and his fellow military veterans & friends that deeply cared for him. Dennis will be greatly missed at the American Legion Golf Course.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ann Rose Richards and a sister.
