Diana Jean Beck, 68, of Marshalltown, passed away at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook on Monday, October 20, 2014. Services for Diana will be held at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 27, 2014, with Pastor Kerry Jech officiating. A public visitation will be held from 5:00 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 26, 2014, also at the funeral home. Diana Jean Beck was born to parents, Roger Lloyd Beck and Ruth Jean (Ruthenberg) Beck on July 5, 1946. She graduated from Geralds School of Cosmetology in 1972. On January 28, 2002, Diana married Jay Haynes in Marshalltown. She retired as an administrative assistant with Swift and Company in 2006. Diana was a member of the Garwin Christian Church, Women of the Moose in Marshalltown, and while living in Santa Barbara, California, served as president of Parents without Partners. Diana enjoyed crafts, shopping and decorating and she especially loved Halloween. She had a great sense of humor and adored her family. Diana is survived by her mother, Ruth Beck; her children: Chad (Brenda) Cook, Drew Crosby, and Paige Glore; step-children: Nikki (Aaron) Dannen and Heidi (Rusty) Karsjen; grandchildren: Brandon(Savannah) White, Cody (Savanha) Cook, Jeremy Crosby, Ashley Crosby, Leana Gaona, and Jacob Hurtado; step-grandchildren: Breanna, Justice, Hunter, Sydney Dannen, and Kennedy Haynes-Hulbert; great-grandchildren: Bentley White, Damien Cruz, and Bella Crosby; siblings: Marcia (Steve) Giles, Bill (Teri) Beck, and Deb (Steve) Nugent; and many nieces and nephews. Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Haynes; her father, Roger; and grandson, Matthew.
