Diana Carter, 53, of Marshalltown, died Sunday, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Diana and her family. Funeral services for Diana will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 25, at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Marshalltown. Visitation for Diana will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Following burial, a luncheon and time of fellowship will be held at the church hall. Diana was born September 17, 1957, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Lee Allen Carter Sr. and Lucille Jane Harvey. She was raised and educated in Clinton where she attended the Clinton School System. Their family moved to Marshalltown in 1981 where she continued to raise her family and was also employed as a CNA at the Marshalltown Manor. Diana enjoyed crafts, working on her computer and traveling the country with her family. Above all she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all in her life and she will be greatly missed by those she loved and who loved her. Diana was an active member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Marshalltown where she participated in the Womens Ministry group with her church friends. Diana is survived by her children: Lucinda Marie Carter of Marshalltown, Phillip Lee Carter & wife Odessa Kay Carter of Le Grand, and Aimmie Gene Carter of Nevada, her siblings: Kathy (Mike) Mull of Clinton, Marcy (Richard) Allen of Marshalltown, Susan Carter of Marshalltown, Joe (Rhonda) Baclet of Clinton, and Linda Baclet of Massachusettes, her grandchildren: Emily Jane Carter, Olivia May Carter, Alexia Marie Carter, Shyann Renae Carter, Nathaniel James Carter, Daniel Lee Carter, Chelsea Rose Lasalle Carter, Alexis Jean Carter and Elizabeth Diana Carter, her life-long best friends: Connie Davis and Steve Allen both of Marshalltown. Diana was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Lee Allen Carter Jr.
