Diana Jorpeland, 77, of Melbourne, passed away on Friday night, November 24th, at the Hawkeye Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 1st, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Hannahs of the Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Born on July 30th, 1940, in Alden, Iowa, she was the daughter of Onnie and Ines (Adams) White. She graduated from the Albion High School in 1958. On September 19th, 1958, she was united in marriage to Darrell Jorpeland, in Princeton, MO. Diana was a homemaker who treasured her family and enjoyed reading, sewing, painting and raising llamas. She loved her flower garden and also enjoyed the motorcycle club that she shared with Darrell. The two would take a tour every summer and made it to almost all of the continental states. Left to cherish her memory are Darrell, her loving husband of 59 years, her children- Scott (Joan) Jorpeland, Shelle (Joel) Johnson and Mindy Jorpeland; grandchildren: Justin (Hannah) Jorpeland, Matt Jorpeland, Amanda Jorpeland, Sabrina (Will) Russell, Renee (Andy) Simmons, Raelyn Johnson, Andrea Johnson, and Erika Johnson, and five great-grandchildren and her brother Gary (Jessie) White. In death, she rejoined her parents and brother, Darwyn White.
