Diane “Bucky” Cox, 74, of Marshalltown, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 11, 2021, at Unity Point Health Marshalltown. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20th at the Iowa River Church of the Brethren. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Maple Hill Cemetery, Montour. A public visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 19th at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa River Church of the Brethren, Second Chance on 3rd or the Marshalltown Emergency Food Box. Diane Loretta Cox was born on February 28, 1946 in Marshalltown, the daughter of Clifford and Anita (Aldrich) Hines. She attended LDF High School and studied at Marshalltown Community College. On August 26, 1963, she was united in marriage to Danny Cox. Diane was first employed as a sales clerk at Montgomery Wards. She later accepted employment at Ford Implement in Toledo and worked there for more than twenty years. Most recently, she worked as a payroll manager at Lennox Industries for over fifteen years until her retirement. She was a member and a Deacon of Iowa River Church of the Brethren. She sang in the choir and served several terms on the church board. She was also a board member at the Lennox Credit Union. She enjoyed volunteering at the Emergency Food Box and Second Chance on 3rd. She was a passionate fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities and sporting events are the things she loved and enjoyed the most. Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Bryan (Kimberly) Cox and Danette Damman; her niece, Anita Thornton; her grandchildren Kassy (Jake) Nelson, Travis Clement, Aspen (Jake) Mason, Autumn Brown, Taylor Damman and Caleb Cox; her great grandchildren: Kelcey Randall, Parker Randall, Carter Mason, Brantley Nelson, William Mason, Lane Nelson and Jaxon Mason. In eternal life, Diane has been reunited with her parents; her husband, Danny; sister, Darlene Wilson and brother-in-law, David Cox.
