Diane Gilmore-Tella

On June 20, 2016, Diane (Gilmore) Tella passed on at the Hawkeye Care Center on 2401 South 2nd St in Marshalltown, after a lengthy illness. She was born Diane Gilmore on January 19, 1948, in Shakopee, MN. She was the oldest of three children born to Olive and Warren Gilmore. She married her soul mate Greg Tella in 1994. Greg passed in 2005. She received an AA Degree from Marshalltown Community College. Diane was preceded in death by her Mother, Father and husband. Diane had two passions close to her heart: music and her animals. She hated cruelty and abuse to those who couldnt fight back such as children, spouses or pets. Though she kept her feelings and thoughts to herself, she kept her own counsel. She believed she would never truly die and wants to be thought of enjoying her pets sitting on a bench somewhere waiting for a soft breeze. Diane will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. Dianes family suggests memorials be made to Animal Rescue League in Marshalltown to help fund spaying/neutering for people who cant afford it.
