Diane Krukow, 63, of Marshalltown, died on December 30, 2013, at her home under the care of her family and Iowa River Hospice after a brief battle with cancer. Diane was born on September 9, 1950, to Vincent and Johanna (Rewerts) Borneman. After completing her education at Dumont High School, she married Donald Krukow on May 24, 1968. The couple settled in Marshalltown where they owned and operated their janitorial business for four decades. After studying the Bible, Diane was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses on January 3, 1970. Diane remained an active member of the Marshalltown congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses until her death, and considered it a privilege to speak to others about the Bible. Diane is survived by her husband of 45 years, Donald Krukow of Marshalltown, her children, Lee (Deanna) Krukow of Marshalltown, Mark (Kelly) Krukow of Marshalltown, Julie (Jon) Baumgartner of Austin, Minnesota, and Sherrie Krukow of Marshalltown, her grandchildren, Micaiah and Noah Krukow of Marshalltown and Ashlee and Collin Krukow of Marshalltown. Preceding her in death were her parents, Vincent and Johanna Borneman, two step-mothers, Irene Borneman and Hazel Borneman, and her brother Stanley Borneman. A visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3rd, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home.
