Diane Price

Cathi "Diane" Price, 59, of Gilman, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2015 in the comfort of her own home with her loving family by her side. Cathi "Diane" Peterson was born on June 28, 1956 in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Virgil and Darlene (Kellogg) Peterson. She was raised and educated in the LDF school district, graduating from LDF High School in 1974. Following high school, Diane graduated from Marshalltown Community College as a Medical Office Assistant. On December 20, 1975, Diane married her first love, Jay Price in LeGrand, Iowa. They made their home in rural Marshalltown where they raised their three children: Mindy, Matt and Shelby. Diane was employed with the Newton Foot Clinic as an office manager for almost 20 years. She was a member of the Ferguson Christian Bible Church. She was an active member of the Dunbar Rustlers 4-H Club as a child, and as a parent spent many summers at sheep shows with her dad and daughter. She loved cheering on her beloved Cyclones, playing cards, caring for her flowers, planning extra special family gatherings, attending country music concerts, and spending time with her family. Diane truly enjoyed celebrating life, as she always said, "Live, Laugh, LOVE"! Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, Jay Price; children: Mindy (Perry) Himes, Matt (Blair) Price and Shelby (Paul) Collins; one grandchild: Addison Price; three siblings: Darla (Tracy) Bailey, Lisa Peterson and Pete (Lisa) Peterson. She is preceded in death by her father, Virgil Peterson; both sets of grandparents: Acil (Norma) Kellogg and Thomas (Mildred) Peterson. Funeral services for Diane will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Ferguson Christian Bible Church with Pastor Darren Young officiating. Public visitation will be held from 5:00 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where her family will be present to greet friends.
