Dianne Beutler

Dianne C. Beutler, 77, of Marshalltown, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at UnityPoint Health – Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Dianne Claire Wolter was born on January 8, 1944 to parents Lester “Les” and Claire (Yungwirth) Wolter in Roswell, New Mexico, where her father was stationed. At a young age, the family moved back to Marshalltown, where she has since called home. Dianne graduated from St Mary’s High School in 1962. She was united in marriage to Erwin “Erv” Beutler on April 11, 1988 in the Bahamas. She dedicated 25 years to PCA as a customer service representative before retiring. In her free time, Dianne enjoyed embroidery, knitting, playing card games, and especially spending time with her three grandchildren. She and Erv enjoyed camping and boating, spending many summers at Lake Red Rock. In retirement, Dianne and Erv spent their winters in an RV in Texas, where they had good times and made many good friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 33 years, Erv Beutler; her son, Chris (Angie) McLean of Coralville; step-children: Nancy Beutler, Julie (Jeff) Hron, Bill Beutler and Doug (Lisa) Beutler; grandchildren: Zachary, Catherine and Adam McLean; her mother, Claire Wolter of Marshalltown; siblings: Bob (Terry) Wolter of California, Vicki (Steve) Frawley of Minnesota, Deb (Bob) Friedrichs of Mason City and Pat (Mary) Wolter of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. Dianne is preceded in death by her father, Les Wolter and her brother, Tom Wolter. Per the wishes of Dianne and her family, cremation rites have been accorded. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, June 12 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Dianne’s name to the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown at 1921 Taylor Ave, Marshalltown, IA 50158.
