Dolores Ann Smith

Dolores Smith, 86, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Southridge Nursing & Rehab Center while under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August, 26, 2017, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Dolores and her family. Dolores Ann Myers was born on January 16, 1931, in Rockford, Illinois; she was the daughter of Ray E. and Elva Alice (Allen) Myers. She attended the Marshalltown area schools. On July 17, 1964, Dolores was united in marriage to David L. Smith in Lancaster, Missouri. Dolores ran a press at the Iowa Print Shop. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, trap shooting, gardening, flowers and anything outdoors. Her true loves in her life were her family and extended family. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sheryl Prusha Underhill of Marshalltown, IA and Larry Dean Prusha of Seymour, IA; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Platt of Slayton, MN, and Peg Shollenbarger of Marshalltown, IA. In death Dolores rejoins her parents, Ray and Elva; husband David; and brothers, Alfred Moore, Robert Moore, Glen Moore and Jim Wood.
