Donald Donnie Wilson, 66, of Albion, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at his home with his loving family by his side. A private celebration of Donnies life will be held at a later date. Donald Wayne Wilson was born on July 29, 1947 in Wheeling, West Virginia, the son of Stanley George and Gladys Viola (Mulley) Wilson. Donald attended school in area of his birth, before completing high school he honorably served his country in the United States Navy between the years of 1965- 1968 and was based on the U.S.S. Raleigh. After the service he went back to finish up his high school degree, graduating in 1978. On December 17, 2005 Donnie was united in marriage to Victoria Gall at the Albion United Methodist Church in Albion, Iowa. Donnie worked as a Truck Driver for most of his career. He loved to fish, spend time with his family, and enjoyed guitar music. Donnie always enjoyed telling stories, and making people laugh and was a great humanitarian when it came for the love of animals donating his time and effort to help out at the Animal Rescue League, and the wounded Veterans organization. Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Victoria Wilson; children: Ivan (Stefanie) Conaway and Jeff (A.J.) Conaway; Grandchildren: Mckayla, Dakota, Zachary, Jeffy, Ivan, Andee Jordin and Harley; one great-grandson, Kaycen and his beloved cats: Cricket, Tammy, Chloe and Cocoa. In death Donnie rejoins his parents, Stanley and Gladys; one brother, Dale and his cat Lester Boy.
