Donna Connley

Donna Patricia Connley (85), of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away in the care of Iowa River Hospice on July 9th, 2015. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Donna Johnson was born in Green Mountain, Iowa, to Louis and Grace (Lane) Johnson on December 30th, 1929. She was raised and educated in the surrounding area, graduating from Marshalltown High School with the class of 1948. On September 2nd, 1949, Donna and Wayne Richard Connley were bound together in marriage at Grace United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Together they would raise their children and make their home in town. Donna was an employee of the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown for many years, working in the laundry and linen department until her retirement. She enjoyed puzzles, golfing, gardening and mowing her lawn. Donna was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Womens Golf Association. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Sandra Kay Nodland, Sherry Lynn Eggleston, grandchildren; James Thomas Nodland, great-grandchildren; Katelyn Marie Nodland, Tyler Thomas James Nodland, siblings; Louis Johnson, Louise Boucher, Ardyth Keller, Lois Osmond and many nieces and nephews. In death, she rejoins her husband, Wayne Richard Connley, parents; Louis and Grace Johnson, siblings; Elma Cook, Ruth Osmond, Earl Johnson, Norma Williams.
