Donna(DJ) Fletcher 73, of Marshalltown passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9:30 until service time on Wednesday. Donna Jean Fletcher was born on August 2, 1939, in Toledo Iowa, she was the daughter of Boyd and Leona (Elery) Fletcher. Donna attended school in the Toledo Community School District graduating with the class of 1957. She had resided in Marshalltown working at Marshalltown Instruments until they closed and then went to Handy Industries until her retirement in 2002. Donna enjoyed bowling, fishing, mushroom hunting; she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Donna loved to spend time with her many, many friends Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Bob (Laurie) Childs of Marshalltown, Iowa; Craig (Fabienne) Childs of Ames, Iowa and Dean Childs of Marshalltown, Iowa. Grandchildren: Melissa(Greg) Cruikshank of Tama, Iowa; Dan(Edina) Childs of Des Moines, Iowa; Rochelle and Cody Childs both of Clinton, Iowa ; Great-grandchildren: Ethan and Eli Cruikshank and Kaden Childs, and many, many friends. In death she rejoins her parents: Boyd and Leona.
