Donna Hoop

Donna Joan Hoop, 60, of Marshalltown, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown surrounded by her loving family.Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Hope United Methodist Church in Marshalltown at 10:30 a.m. A visitation will take place on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at Hope United Methodist Church. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Donna and her family.Born Donna Joan Burns on October 9, 1952, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Robert and Maxile (Gunderson) Burns. She graduated from the LDF High Schools Class of 1970 and attended AIB in Des Moines.Donna was united in marriage to Al Hoop and to this union three sons were born. Donna was an office manager for Premier Office Equipment for 12 years and a member of the Hope United Methodist Church. Donna treasured her faith, family and friends.Left to cherish her memory are Al, her loving husband, her sons: Brian (Liz), Adam (Emily) and Jared: her sisters- Marcia (Loren) Schmidt, Phyllis (Gary) White and Barb (Dan) Dunham and brother Ron (Dianne) Burns as well as her precious grandchildren Adilyn and Samantha Hoop and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.In death, Donna rejoined her parents Robert and Maxile Burns and nephew Mike Duffy.
