Donna Huff

Donna Huff, 66, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on the morning of May 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Iowa River Hospice. A family led celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Journey Church in Marshalltown beginning at 11:00 A.M. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Donna and her family. Donna Lee Buffington was born June 23, 1955 to parents Dick and Annalee (Freland) Buffington in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the oldest of four children born to the family. She attended school in Marshalltown and would later graduate from Marshalltown High School in the class of 1973. On December 28, 1973, Donna was united in marriage to the love of her life Van Huff at the Grace United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Together they began a family of their own raising their two children Shelly and Jason. Both Donna and Van worked for many years together at Fisher Controls. She held numerous positions over the years including the inventory planner and master scheduler. She and Van retired together in 2015. Donna was a member of Journey Church in Marshalltown. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, traveling to the beach, bargain shopping, swimming, sewing, and most importantly spending time with her loved ones. To Donna, family was everything. She was devoted to her family first and always had a selfless attitude about everything. Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Van Huff; her children, Shelly (Eric) Sulik and Jason (Katie) Huff; her grandchildren, Tanner and Kaison Sulik; her mother, Annalee Buffington; her siblings, Jodee Lewis, Jan (Steve) Logue and Rod (Karen) Buffington; alongside other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Dick Buffington and numerous other family members.
