Donnie L. Clark, 84, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in the comfort of his own home with his loving family by his side. Following Donnie’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 (NOTE DATE) at the American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown, Iowa, under the direction of the family.  Memorial contributions may be directed in Donnie's name to the family, for flowers please see the link below if desired.  For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234.  Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Donnie and his family. Donnie L. Clark was born on October 23, 1934 in Newton, Iowa, the son of Joe and Ora (Kingery) Clark. He was raised and educated in the Newton School District. Donnie honorably served his country by enlisting into the United States Army between the years of 1955-1957.  On December 18, 1953, Donnie was united in marriage to Zona Hansen in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. From this union the couple was blessed with seven children.  Donnie was a hardworking man dedicating most of his working career at Dunham-Bush as a foreman. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, softball, bowling, spending time at the casino, but most importantly was the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.  Donnie is survived by his children: Donita (Ted) Grabau of Marshalltown, Peggy (Mike) Noid of Marshalltown, Danny (Tammy) Clark of Poplar, Wisconsin, Wendy (Dennis) Fontanini of Marshalltown, Karen (Erik Sturm) Kramer of Apple Valley, California, Barbara (Paul) Goodman of Dubuque and Tim (Vanessa) Clark of Commerce City, Colorado; siblings: Vivian, Phillip, Bonnie, Jerry, Marlene and Darlene.  Donnie is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and  friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Zona Clark; parents, Joe and Ora Clark as well as one brother, Bob.
