Dorothy Mae Wooster, formerly of the Gilman-Legrand area, died October 28, 2009, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa.Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 1st, 2009, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Phone 641-844-1234.Dorothy was born on July 15, 1920, to George and Clara (Clausen) Poland. She was educated in the area of her birth. On July 27, 1946, she married William Wooster in Leavenworth, Kansas. Dorothy and Bill lived in the Legrand and Gilman area. Dorothy had worked at The Round Table, The old Tremont and Cecils Caf in Marshalltown. In her spare time, she enjoyed her family, especially her grand children, and always raised a large garden.Left to cherish Dorothys memory are her children, Lonny( Susan) Poland of Marshalltown, Michael(Cindy) Poland of Paris, California, Steve(Carol) Wooster of Legrand, Shawn Wooster of Legrand, and Ralph Wooster of San Antonio, Texas; and her stepsons, Stanley Wooster of Apache Junction, Arizona, Bill Wooster of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Ronald Wooster of Phoenix, Arizona.Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill; her son, Kim Wooster; her brother, Burdette Poland; and her sister, Georgette Benda.
