Douglas Plum

Douglas Plum, 64, of Newton, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the comfort of his own home. Per Doug’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Douglas Plum was born on November 19, 1953 in Marshalltown, Iowa the son of William and Neva (Corrick) Plum, Jr.  He was raised and educated in the West Marshall school district, graduating from West Marshall High School.  Following High School, Doug went on to obtain his college degree in Marshalltown.  Doug was united in marriage to Pam (Micker) for many years.  The two later divorced but kept a close relationship.  Doug was employed as an instructor at Tool and Die for many years.  He most recently retired from DMACC in Newton, IA.  Doug had a passion for fishing, boating, gardening and carpentry work. Left to cherish his memory are his three sisters: Kathy Plum, Deb Horn and Tami Uptain. He is preceded in death by his parents.
