Tribute written by his mother PamelaDouglas Adam (Jensen) Westcott was born on April 26, 1981, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the son of Pamela Rae Steward-Graham, and R.D.W. and he was the grandson of Roland Westcott (and dearly missed Grandma Gloria Westcott), and grandparents Lyle Delos and Lorna Rae Steward.From the time he was a young man he had a passion for being on/in anything with wheels such as Tonka dump trucks, the Little Tykes riding toys, bicycles, brand new Dodge Caliber car and his most recent ATV. He received his education in Marshalltown and Shenandoah, Iowa public schools. Doug had some life experiences including his first time to ride in an airplane at the age of 7, driving a race car at the Newton Speedway, sky diving, his love of traveling and going on vacations, in 2004 he went on a family Walt Disney cruise, going west, and a trip to Sandusky Ohio at Cedar Point, and zip lining. Doug enjoyed playing video games, watching TV shows like Cops, football and other TV shows, and his beloved dog/friend, Cooper Dean, a Boston Terrier which Cooper was one of the last dogs his grandma Gloria liked raising.Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 25th, 2012 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Services will be at 10:30 a.m.Wednesday, September 26th, 2012 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. They lived in West Des Moines, Iowa with Cooper Dean, their Boston Terrier. Doug is survived by his family in Marshalltown, Iowa including his mother, Pamela (Wendell) Steward-Graham, his sister, Angela (Mike) Ulch, his brother Jonathan Jensen, niece and nephews, Preston, Tanner and McKenzie, Grandpa Roland Westcott, Grandma Wood, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Douglas is also survived by Rachelles parents, Danelle (Kevin) Little, sister and brother in-law Angie (Mike) Wilson, nieces and nephews Taylor, Brennen, Ella and Joshua and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Douglas took pride and joy in his work as a Robot Welder at Quality Manufacturing in Urbandale, Iowa. Douglas enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Douglas was adventurous, enjoyed sky diving, four wheeling, fishing and being outdoors. One of his hobbies was to modify his car with blue lights. Douglas especially enjoyed naps with Cooper sleeping on his chest. Sunday dinner was Dougs favorite meal of the week.Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 25th, 2012 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa.
