Dr. Terry B. Hilleman, 66, of Marshalltown, died early Saturday morning, August 9th, at the Kindred Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 18th, at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Gregg Davison officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Dr. Hilleman and his family, ph 641-844-1234. Born on August 17th, 1941, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Clarence and Gladys (Tigges) Hilleman. He graduated from the Marshalltown High Schools Class of 1959, the University of Iowa Dental Science School in 1968 and in 1970 with his Masters of Orthodontics. While receiving his Masters, he did research for nitonil wire, now universally used by many Orthodontists. Dr. Hilleman made his home in Plantation, Florida for 15 years until returning home to Marshalltown to practice. Terry was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who loved lobster hunting, scuba-diving and training, traveling, and was authoring a book on environmental science. He was a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Trinity Lutheran Church, the NRA, Izaak Walton League, his scuba club in Florida and the local gun club. Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife, Dr. Colene Grecian, his daughter Erika. Sons: Capt. Robert Hilleman of the US Army and his wife Ann and daughter Holly; Kurt Hilleman and his wife Paula of Pompano Beach, Florida, mother Gladys of Marshalltown, sister Dixie Teegarden of Oakland, CA and brother Douglas (Patricia) Hilleman of Jupiter, FL., his father and mother-in-law Paul and Lorraine Grecian now of Marshalltown, formerly of Iowa City and numerous friends. In death he has rejoined his father, Clarence.
