Drew Grice

John Michael Andrew Grice “Drew”, 32, passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home Starting at 1:00 p.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. For condolences please visit www.Mitchellfh.com , in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be used at a later date.  The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Drew and his family. Drew was born on September 20, 1986 to the parents of John and Christine (Canaday) Grice. Drew was a cheerful child growing up and had the ability to put a smile on your face. Drew had a love for dressing in costumes, every day was his Halloween. He had a passion for Michael Jackson and even had a costume to match. He enjoyed watching animated movies and could recite them to everyone, he was also a big fan of Power Rangers and Darth Vader. Drew was currently living with Pete and Julie Miller in Altoona as his host family that was arranged through Mosaic, and they had taken wonderful care of him. Drew loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them when he had the chance. Drew made many friends and will be mourned by all. Left to cherish his memory is his mother Christine Grice (Canaday), father John (Susan) sister Danielle Nichole Grice, uncle Brian (Bridget) Canaday, aunt Laura (Doug Gethmann) Canaday, uncle Brett (Kim) Canaday, cousins Joshua (Casey) Canaday, Haley Canaday, Wade Canaday, and Whitney Canaday, aunt Terry (Mike) Perry, Madison (Adrian) Irving, Tori Perry , Lilly Perry, and Sunny Perry. Also his grandparents Steve and Linda Canaday, and Johnny and Jean Grice.
