Duane Alan Harrington

Duane Harrington, age 67, of Albion, passed away Monday morning, December 9th, at the Unitypoint Health Marshalltown with his sister at his side.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 13th, at the Center School Cemetery southwest of Marshalltown. Friends may gather at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home to travel together at 1:30 to graveside if you are not aware of its location. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Duane and his family.

Born on September 26th, 1957, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Bernard and Nina (Smith) Harrington. He was raised with love in the family home all of his life. After his mom passed away, he resided in a group home in Marshalltown until his sister was able to come home after working out of state in construction. Linda and Duane took care of each other and lived on the homeplace until his untimely and unexpected passing.

Duane was deeply loved and cared for his sister, Linda, who survives as well as other family members.

In death, he rejoined his parents.
