Duane Koch

Mr. Duane Koch, 77, of Toledo, died early Tuesday morning, July 13th, at the Sunnyhill Care Center in Toledo. Memorial services will he held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. He will be laid to rest in the Eldora City Cemetery. Born on June 7th, 1933, at home at Whitten, Iowa, he was the son of John and Ruth (Thomas) Koch. He received his education in the area of his birth. On September 19th, 1952, at the Eldora Methodist Church, he was united in marriage to Lorraine Schaa. They made their home in Whitten, Union, Marshalltown, Florida and then retired to Toledo to be near their daughter and family. Mr. Koch was a truck driver, did farming and worked in the foundry at Lennox. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Linda (the late Greg) Trittien of Toledo, Larry Koch of Eldora, Connie (Mike) Blandau of Eldora, and Tom (Sylvia) Koch of Holiday, FL, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and sister Beverly Hogle of Eldora. In death, he was rejoined with his loving wife, son-in-law Greg Trittien and granddaughter Mackenzie.
