Duane Noelck

Duane William Noelck was born in Audubon, IA on January 22, 1945 to Melvin Noelck and Alice (Adams) Noelck. Duane passed away October 24, 2017 at age 72. He was in the US Army from 1965 to 1967 attaining the rank of E-5. Duane was a long time resident of Marshalltown, IA working various jobs, including 16 years as a janitor at Cooper Mfg. Duane was also a long time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was a Boy Scout troop leader at one time, belonged to a local cooking club, and sold Mary Kay products. He was awarded the Commandant’s Award for volunteer work delivering mail to the residents and helping with recreational trips at the Veterans Home in Marshalltown. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by aunts and uncles and many cousins. He will also be missed by the many co-workers and residents of the Iowa Veterans Home. A Memorial Service will be December 8th, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel, 1301 Summit Street in Marshalltown, IA. Military Services and interment will be held at a later date at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, IA.
