Dudley Krier

Dudley Krier, 64, of Des Moines, formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. The family will be holding a Memorial Gathering at the Northwest Senior Center at 5101 Franklin Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on November 16, 2017. Dudley Paul Krier was born on July 1, 1953, in Rock Rapids, Iowa; he was the son of Raphael and Margaret (Barnhill) Krier. Dudley attended school in the Conrad Community School District graduating with the Class of 1971. While playing football for Conrad he was named All American Football Player. When he was 18, he was in a car accident that changed his life forever, but through life he always remained very fun and positive. On July 13, 1994, Dudley was united in marriage to Pam Profitt at the courthouse in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was a member of the Legion of the Guardsmen and the Senior Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He enjoyed cards, dominoes, watching football and loved his Little Debbie Snack Cakes. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 23 years, Pam Krier, of Des Moines; children, Amy (Steve) Wright of Ankeny, Iowa, Paul Krier of Des Moines, Samantha (Coltin) Kinney of Marshalltown, and Joseph (Carol) Krier of Des Moines; grandchildren: Zoe, Ava, Hayden, Samuel, Kennedy and Naomi; siblings, Peggy (Roger) Lowe of Des Moines, Phyllis Troutner of Marshalltown, Carla Brimson of Marshalltown, Kevin Krier of Marshalltown, Keith (Angie) Krier of Green Mountain, Kyle Krier of Prairie City, Iowa and Kenneth (Andrea) Krier of Altoona, Iowa. In death Dudley rejoins his parents, Raphael and Margaret; son Nathan Krier (2013), brother, Richard; and sisters, Pat and Pammie.
