Edgar Alan Bucklin, 49 of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Grandview Heights Nursing Home in Marshalltown. There are currently no services scheduled. Alans wishes were to be a body donor with Des Moines University. Memorials may be directed to either the ALS or Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Mitchell Family funeral Home is caring for Alan and his family. Phone 641-844-1234. Edgar Alan Bucklin was born on January 18, 1964 in Neenah, Wisconsin. Alan was a graduate of West Marshall High School and went on to be a trucker. Alan loved working with computers and cars. He was very proud of his two great nephews Caden Karns who he shared a birthday with and Mattox Krull. Left to cherish his memory is his children: Brian, Amanda and Ashley and his two grandchildren. Parents: Elaine McDowell (Foster) and Claude Butch Bucklin. Brothers: Joel (Dee) Bucklin of Colfax, Tim Bucklin of Wisconsin and Chris (Angie) Bucklin of Wisconsin. Sisters: Leigh Ann (Brad) Karns of Garwin and Becky (Jesse) Bauman of Wisconsin. Grandmother: Wilma Bucklin of Newton and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. Alan is preceded in death by his grandpa Tommy.
