Edith was born in Marshalltown on May 21st, 1922, to parents Wilmont Bloomfield and Laura (Cooley) Trowbridge. She attended Glick School. Edith then lived at the Marshall County Home for many years, working in their laundry department. When the Marshall County Home closed, Edith moved to Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center. Edith was very skilled in embroidery, and absolutely loved creating this work. She had sold many pieces of her work, as well as gifting them to her family and friends. While she was a resident of the Marshall County Home, she especially enjoyed going to baseball games and always enjoyed participating in the activities and outings offered at Southridge. She truly loved the staff at Southridge, considering them family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to celebrate Ediths life is her brother James C. Trowbridge; her niece Vincene Ridout; her nephews Jim (LeAnn) Trowbridge II and John (Michele) Trowbridge; 10 great nieces and nephews; and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. In death, Edith has rejoined her parents, her sister-in-law Connie Trowbridge, and her nephew-in-law Denny Ridout.
