Edward Joseph Gregor was born on August 20, 1944, in St. Peter, MN, the son of Edward and Hedwig (Rusch) Gregor. He graduated from the Galva High School. He continued his education at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake and graduated in 1968. He taught elementary school in Ida Grove from 1968 until 1972. Joe married the love of his life, Shirley Coalter on December 10, 1963 in Storm Lake. They moved to Marshalltown in 1972. Joe was the manager at Toy Fair store from 1972 – 1981; worked at Greyhound Foods from 1981- 1991 and DIEMCO 1981-2012. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the National (and state) Street Rod Associations. Joe’s love and passion were cars. He owned many older, classic cars and attended many car shows with them. So many people will remember him as an automotive diagnostic wizard. If anyone could diagnose a problem with a car, it was Joe. So many people would contact him to reference his knowledge to find out what was wrong with their car. However, even more than cars, Joe loved and cherished spending time with his grandkids, going to their sporting events, being a part of their lives and watching them grow up. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of fifty-seven years, Shirley; his children, Kurt (Shelley) Gregor and Kim (Mike Cassler) Miller; his five grandchildren: Zack (Allison) Miller, Carson (Natasha Widdowson) Miller, Noah Gregor, Kaden Gregor and Addison Gregor. In eternal life, Joe is reunited with his parents, His in-laws James and Persis Coalter and his faithful companion Mandy. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone with classic cars would drive them to the  services if possible.
