Edwina Marshall

Edwina M. Marshall, 56, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018, in the comfort of her own home. Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no public services held with the funeral home at this time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family. Marshall was born on December 15, 1961, in Omaha, Nebraska; she was the daughter of Betty Marshall. Edwina grew up on the Marshall family farm (now Bittersweet Acres) in Newton, Iowa. She attended school in the Newton Community School District graduating with the class of 1980. She was blessed with one daughter, Krysta. Edwina loved to fishing, go mushroom hunting, attend 80’s rock concerts, collect records and loved spending many hours with her best friends, Tammy O’Neill, Shelly Walton and Pam Wilson, to name a few. She had worked at Progressive Industries in Newton before moving to Marshalltown in 1994.   Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Krysta Stier; and cousins, June Burton of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, who was more like a sister than a cousin, Brett Monteleone, Tanya Monteleone Cunningham, Wade Fisher, and Paige Fisher Ford. In death Edwina rejoins her grandparents, William and Julia Marshall, whom she had a very special relationship, and her mother, Betty Louise Marshall.                  Gone fishin', be back at dark-thirty!
