Elaine Kail, 85, of Marshalltown, passed away on Monday, November 12, at her home surrounded by her loving family under the care of the Iowa River Hospice.Per Elaines wishes, following cremation, no services are planned at this time. Elaine married Ace Kail on October 12, 1947 at the Marshalltown Friends Church and they later moved to Torrance, California before returning home to Marshalltown to spend the rest of their years. Elaine loved to paint, read books and had a great love for cats.Elaine is survived by her son Roger (Carol) Kail of Marshalltown, sister; Vanita (Darryll) Dewey of Marshalltown and their children Mike (Jill) Dewey of Osceola, Mellissa (Rocky) Monk of rural Marshalltown and Laurie (Jim) Sinnwell of Charles City; six grandchildren, Christopher Kail, Angela Rodriguez, Allie Kail, Marissa Kail, Amanda Kail and Danielle Kail; and three great grandchildren, Brooklyn Kail, Victor Rodriguez and Christopher Kail.Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Dan Kail, brother; Steve Shank, and sister in law Shirley Shank.
