Elizabeth Banderas, 10 of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, October, 2, 2012 at Blank Childrens Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa surrounded by her loving family. In life Elizabeth was a loving and giving child. In death she was able to give the gift of life thru organ donation to others.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, October 8, 2012 at St Marys Catholic Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 7, from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family. Elizabeth Banderas was born on May 13, 2002 in Pomona, California. She was the daughter of Antonio Banderas and Imelda Cebellos. Elizabeth was a 5th grade student at Lenihan Intermediate School in the Marshalltown Community School district. Elizabeth will be remembered for her love and excitement for life. She enjoyed attending Sunday School at New Life Pentacostal Church. Her favorite times were the times when she would get to go places with her mom and dad especially shopping.Elizabeth loved to read and draw but always loved going to school to learn. She was excited this year because she was going to be able to learn to play instruments, the guitar and trumpet. She also donated time thru the Salvation Army andgoing to the Iowa Veterans Home to help others. Elizabeth always had a heart for her Kitty Cats.Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Antonio and Imelda, and her siblings: Magadelena Albo, Modesta Rios, Begonia Hernandez, Antonio Banderas, Jr., Jasmaine Gonzalas, Christopher Banderas, Gabby Banderas and Christian Banderas and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.In death, Elizabeth rejoins her grandmothers, Guzman and Modesta Ramos.
