Elizabeth Jennie Marie Fisher, 35, of Guernsey, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at UnityPoint Health- Grinnell Regional Medical Center.
A Visitation for Liz will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Elizabeth Fisher was born on July 7, 1990 in Ottumwa. She was the daughter of Jeff Fisher and Susan (Acord) Weida. Liz graduated from Eddyville Blakesburg High School in 2008. After high school, Liz obtained her Culinary Arts degree from Indian Hills Community College. Liz was employed for Kwik Star in Brooklyn for 10 years. She enjoyed playing video games and role playing games with her friends. Liz also liked to crochet, collect tarot cards and was very crafty. She also had a deep love for all types of animals.
Liz is survived by her parents- Jeff (Clara) Fisher of Brownsville, Texas and Susan (Mark) Weida of Victor. Siblings: Zach Fisher of Guernsey, Andrew Weida of Victor, Garrett Weida of Cedar Rapids, William Fisher of Ottumwa and Ty (Sydney) Anderson of Waterloo. Also surviving are her grandmothers: Martha Acord of Marshalltown and Judy Fisher of Brownsville, Texas along with all of her fur babies.
Liz is preceded in death by her grandfathers: Richard Acord and Elton Fisher along with her dog- Rokkie.
