Elizabeth Siemers

Elizabeth (Liz) Siemers, 85, of Round Rock, TX, and formerly from Marshalltown, IA passed away on October 21, 2019 in Round Rock, TX.  Liz was born on February 28, 1934 in Ames, IA; she was the daughter of Osmond and Sarah (Larson) Toresdahl.  She married Henry Siemers III on December 8, 1951 in Ames, Iowa. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Parsons College in 1967.  She was a teacher in the Marshalltown, Iowa public schools for many years and truly loved her profession and development of students.   Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshalltown with Pastor Gregg Davison officiating.  Burial will follow at Ames Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mitchell Family Funeral Home.   Liz is survived by children: James (Deb) Siemers of Round Rock, TX and Cindy (Les) Baumbach of Tiffin, IA; her grandchildren: Jimmy Siemers of San Marcos, TX, Eric (Kyle) Siemers, Hillsborough, CA; Ryan Baumbach, North Liberty, IA, Bret Baumbach, San Mateo, CA, Betsy Baumbach, Bridget Baumbach, Tiffin, IA; and brothers: Joe (Shelly) Toresdahl, LaVerne (Mary Ann) Toresdahl, and friend and companion Florenz Kapaun.  Liz is preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, son Steven, and brother Zeb Toresdahl.
