Ella Grace Frese went home to be with Jesus, enveloped in the love of her mother's womb on Sunday, May 14th 2017 at 32 weeks gestation. Ella was born still two days later to Stephen and Emily Frese at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Ella looked just like Mom and already had a head full of strawberry blonde curly hair. She had Dads cute button nose, and grandpas long Nutting toes. Though our time with her was short, we are thankful for the wonderful eight months we shared with Ella, and are blessed to be her parents. Ella was her parents greatest joy and her presence will be deeply missed. We choose the name Ella meaning Gods light" to reflect the tremendous joy & hope she brought to our lives in the midst of a very difficult season in our extended family. We are comforted knowing she will never experience suffering or pain and feel quite certain that her great grandmas Nutting and Frese are giving her endless cuddles in heaven. Ella is survived by her loving parents, several adoring grandparents and great grandparents, along with her aunts, uncles, and 42 cousins. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 1st 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Treats and fellowship to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a memorial fund at Members1st Community Credit Union. All memorial donations will be given in Ella's honor to nonprofit organizations working to improve perinatal outcomes and stillbirth prevention. The family plans to plant a tree and garden in Ella's honor.
