Elmer E. Eggers, 72, of State Center, died Sunday, April 24th, at the MMSC.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 29th, at the St. John Lutheran Church north of State Center. He will be laid to rest in the Hillside Cemetery at State Center. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 28th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home West Marshall Chapel, 104 West Main Street, State Center. He graduated from the Colo High School in 1958 and then joined his father in the farming operation.On April 20, 1963, he married Jane Ann Lively. They farmed in the Colo area before moving to a farm near State Center in 1970. They retired in 1999 and moved into State Center.He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church, State Center Cyclone Boosters and Marshall County Cattlemans Association.He is survived by his wife Jane Ann, son Brad (Janice) and children- Bo, Chase and Stevi Eggers; Kassia, Kayla and Katelynn Janic and Kaycee Bristley; Son Eric (Terri) Eggers and their children- Emily (Tanner) Metz and Ben Stern, his brothers Merle, Reuben and Glen Eggers and sister Ramona Milleson.Preceding him in death were his parents, grandson Thor Eggers and brother Vernon Eggers.
