Elvin A. Kutzner, 83, of Olathe, Kansas, formerly of Marshalltown, died Friday morning, May 18th, in Olathe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Johnson officiating. Born on August 28, 1928, at LaMoille, Iowa, he was the son of Ernest and Roseamount (Able)Kutzner, Sr. He attended school in the LaMoille Schools and the area Lutheran Schools. He was united in marriage to Barbara Hubler and later to Margie. Elvin was employed many years at Lennox Industries and later moved to Olathe where he owned and operated an upholstery shop, taverns and prior to retirement a pawn shop. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown and the American Legion. Left to cherish his memory are two sons: Gary (Pamela) Kutzner of Marshalltown and Jerry (Cindy) Kutzner of Marshalltown, four grandchildren: Kimberly (James) Huseboe of Rhodes, Angie (Mike) Trachta of Marion, Iowa, Jamie (Alicia) Kutzner of Waverly and Julie (Chad) Hill of Des Moines, nine great-grandchildren, his sister Gloria Bennett of Marshalltown, several nieces, nephews and his former wife Margie in Olathe. In death, Elvin rejoined his parents, brothers: Wayne, Merle, Ernest Jr. Top, Larry and Wallace and sister Vivian Campbell.
