Emmett Harry "Mutt" Street

Emmett “Mutt” Street of Beaman, age 61, passed on November 18, 2023, at the Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

Funeral services for Emmett are scheduled for Sunday November 26, 2023, beginning at 12 P.M. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home of Marshalltown, Iowa. A visitation for family and friends is also scheduled for Sunday November 26, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., also at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Emmett Harry Street was born on September 1, 1962, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the son of Darroll and Peggy (Fish) Street. On August 28, 2004, Emmett married the love of his life, Debra (Laughlin-Wood) Street at their home in Beaman. He went on to work construction for a little over 25 years at Baumeier Construction and then 7 years at PCA in Conrad, Iowa. Emmett enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, hunting, traveling with his wife, spending time with family, and specially playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Debra Street, his mother Peggy Street, his children: Jamie Street of Marshalltown, Iowa, Paul Wood of Des Moines, Iowa, Ryan (Faith) Wood of Houston, Texas, and Matthew (Katlyn) Wood of Ankeny, Iowa, grandchildren: Victor Lopez, Troy Corwin Jr., Clayton Corwin, Addison Wood, and Claire Wood, his brothers: Larry Street of Gladbrook, Iowa, David (Laurie) Street of Gladbrook, Iowa, and Gregory (Jill) Street of Raytown, Missouri, sister-in-law Karen Petit, brother-in-law John Laughlin, numerous nieces and nephews, and his fur baby Herky.

Emmett is preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, his father Darroll Street, daughter Jessica Street, sister-in-law Donna Arendorf, brother-in-law Delbert Laughlin and his faithful companion Hank.
