Enrique Maravilla Avalos

Enrique Maravilla Avalos, of Marshalltown passed away tragically on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marshalltown, Iowa at 10:30 a.m. After the services a public visitation will be held on Friday, November 23 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used at a later date. For condolences please visit www.Mitchellfh.com or call (641)-844-1234. Enrique was born on April 22, 1968 to Jose Maravilla Reynosa and Alicia Maravilla Avalos in Cojumatlan Michoacan Mexico. Enrique was a fantastic cook and loved spending time working on new recipes that he would try out on his family. He took his love of cooking to the next step by opening a restaurant showcasing his abilities. On January 7, 1995 Enrique married Christina Maravilla in Mexico. After moving to Marshalltown his roots stayed with him always traveling back in August for Divinostro. He loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could in his busy schedule. He will be missed by many family members and many friends that he had made in the short time that he had. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Christina; children: Jocelyn Maravilla, Berenice Maravilla, Louis Enrique and Christopher Giovanni; grandchildren: Stephen, Angel, and Dianna. He is also survived by his siblings: Francisco Maria de Los Angeles, Blanca Estella, Delia, Phillipe de Jose, Maria Margarita, Carlos Alberto, Christian Adrian, and Norma Angelica, and parents Jose and Alicia. He is preceded in death by his brother Jose Luis Maravilla, uncle Ruben Maravilla, paternal grandfather Jose Avalos, maternal grandparents Librado and Julia Maravilla.
