Eugene Leroy Ribby

Eugene LeRoy Ribby, 73, of Montour, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Cremation rites have been accorded and there are currently no services scheduled. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Eugene Gene LeRoy Ribby was born on June 6, 1940, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Melvin and Mildred Linhart Ribby. He attended school until the 11th grade and then went on to a Welding School in Chicago. On April 17, 1960, Gene was united in marriage to Denise Ewing in Toledo, Iowa. Gene loved all types of airplanes, crossword puzzles, reading and just tinkering around. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years; Denise. Daughter: Sherry Ahrens of Montour. Sons: Chris Ribby of Montour and Alan Ribby of Brooklyn, Iowa. Grandchildren: Rachel, Brian, Natasha, Alex and Storm. Great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Blake, Ayden, Christopher, Zander, Cloey, Brendon and Nevaeh. Sister: Kalyn Nekola and a brother Tom Ribby. He is preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter Angie.
