June 24, 1926 — January 11, 2020

Eva Morgart, 93, of Conrad, Iowa, and formerly of Union, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Oakview nursing home with her family at her side. Burial for Eva will take place Friday, July 24 at 11:00 A.M. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. A public visitation for family and friends was held for Eva on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. A brief time for sharing of memories will take place beginning at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Eva’s family for a later designation. Eva Rogers was born June 24,1926 to parents Russell and Violet (Allen) Rogers in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was one of two children born to the family. Eva attended school in Marshalltown and graduated class of 1943 from Marshalltown High School. On July 1, 1943 she was united in marriage to Wayne Morgart in Fort Hood, Texas. In 1954 the two moved to Union, Iowa, and began their lives together. She was the mother to three children Sue, Bruce, and Robin. Eva was most known for her service to the community of Union for providing child care services and for being a cook for the Union/Whitten School District. In her free time, she was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the woman’s Legion Auxiliary, and the Union Church of Christ, and the National Campers and Hikers Association. She was an avid camper, gardener with both flowers and other foods, canning, traveling, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren in her free time. Left to remember and cherish her memory are her children Sue (Roy) Aasen of Chula Vista, California, and Bruce (Patti) Morgart of Burnsville, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law Letha Morgart; numerous nieces and nephews; and special family Darlene (Mark) Bradley and their three children along with their families. In death, Eva is rejoined with her husband Wayne who passed in 2009; her parents Russell and Violet; her daughter Robin Carter; and her brother Robert Rogers
