Eva Mae Schrafel

Eva Mae Schrafel, 63, of Albion, died Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2010, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. She was the daughter of Samuel and Eva Mae (Kent) Petrie. She attended school in Marshalltown. Eva married John I. Clark and they later divorced. On May 25, 1985, Eva Mae married Jack Schrafel in Marshalltown. The couple lived in Albion.Eva Mae was employed at Dogs and Suds, Econofoods, IVH, Scotts Manufacturing, Ben Franklin, and most recently Goodwill. She raised birds, enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, and collecting M & M and Pepsi items. She enjoyed her horses, genealogy research, road trip to Missouri, and going to flea markets. She was always there for her family and enjoyed cooking for them and sharing her cooking skills. Left to mourn her loss are her husband Jack of Albion, her children John (Kay) Clark of Marshalltown, Randy Clark of Des Moines, Kim Davis of Albion, Terry (Barb) Schrafel of Cedar Rapids, and Kelly Schrafel of Marshalltown; her grandchildren Keeley Clark, Kyle (Anna) Davis, Nathan Clark, Kasey (Amber) Davis, Jared Schrafel, Matthew Schrafel, Joey Pittman, and Lexi Schrafel; her great-grandchildren Myles Miller, Ashton Davis, and Braeden Davis; her brother Harvey (Sharon) Petrie of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews. In death she rejoins her parents, her brother Larry Petrie, and her brother Jim Petrie.
