Ph 641-844-1234. Faye was born September 15th, 1955, the daughter of Eddie and Dorothy DeVries of Chancellor, South Dakota. Faye attended a one-room country school before graduating from Lennox High School, Lennox, South Dakota. Faye went on to receive her LPN training in Mitchell, South Dakota. She then worked at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. On June 18th, 1976, she married Duane Bossman at the Germantown Presbyterian Church near Chancellor, South Dakota. The couple moved to Toledo, Iowa, one week later, after they were hired by the Iowa Juvenile Home where Faye worked as an LPN for 4 years. With the birth of their first daughter in 1979, Faye left her position at the Juvenile Home to invest in the lives of her family. It was around this time that Faye began driving school bus for South Tama Community School District, recently retiring after 30 years of faithful service. In 1990, Faye and her husband began home schooling their three daughters, subsequently being blessed with the opportunity to provide 13 years of Christ centered instruction. Faye and her husband were also involved in a number of home business ventures, including custom woodworking and a window washing service. The couple enjoyed fishing trips to Canada, riding bikes (including five years of RAGBRAI), 4-wheeling and working around their yard. Faye has also been involved in many 5-K runs and several half marathons. She loved keeping a garden and was an incredible cook. Her biggest joy was time spent reading or singing with her daughters when they were young or recently with her treasured grandchildren. Faye was a faithful and active member of Center Street Baptist Church in Marshalltown, IA, where she loved to sing in any group and teach songs to children. Faye will be deeply missed by her husband, Duane: three daughters- Jodi (Jeremy) Smith and their two children Brandon and Ethan; Erica (Josh) Lyon and their children Alaina and Grant; and Charity (Caleb) Lyon and their daughter, Hailey. Faye also has two brothers Dale (Kathy) DeVries of Auburn, Washington, and Ken (Karen) DeVries of Billings, Montana, her sister Nola Utech of Sioux Falls, her mother Dorothy DeVries of Lennox, SD and mother-in-law Evelyn Bossman also of Lennox as well as nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her father, Eddie DeVries, father-in-law Elroy Bossman and nephew, Kelly Kuper.
