Faye Zimmerman

Faye E. Zimmerman, 78, Stratford, died on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at her home in the Town of McMillan with her family by her side. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield and on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Faye was born on April 18, 1937 in Albion, Iowa to Ronald and Mildred Ewalt. She was a graduate of Green Mountain High School. She married Donovan E. Donny Zimmerman on February 19, 1957. Faye and Donny farmed all their married life. Faye is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donny, and was a loving mother to 6 children, Doyle (Beth) Zimmerman, Randy (Laurie) Zimmerman, Pam (Ron) Kind, Darrell (Donna) Zimmerman, Brenda (Allan) Ress, and Chad (Tina) Zimmerman. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. She is further survived by 3 sisters, LaVonne (Duane) Zimmerman, Helen (Al) Tysma and Arlene (Don) Nehring. She was predeceased by her parents and 2 brothers, Bob (Jane) Ewalt and Buddy Ewalt. Faye welcomed many into her heart and home like they were her own.
