Fernando Gonzalez, 25, of Marshalltown passed away Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the St. Marys Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Fernando will be sent back home to Ejido Modelo Jalisco, Mexico for burial. Fernando has been a resident of Marshalltown for seven years. He was employed at Absolute Concrete in Slater, IA for seven years. Fernando enjoyed the sport of soccer, going to dances, spending time with his son, family, and friends. Fernando will be remembered for always being a very happy person, constantly having a smile, and putting others before himself. Left to cherish his memory is his fianc, Bobbi Ledvina of Marshalltown, IA; his son, Julian Kutzner of Marshalltown, IA; his parents, Marcelino Gonzalez Chavarria and Ramona Alcaraz Arroyo, both of Ejido Modelo Jalisco, Mexico; his siblings: Victor Gonzalez of Atlanta, GA, Maria Gonzalez of Atlanta, GA, Jose Gonzalez of Marshalltown, Rafael Gonzalez of Atlanta, GA, and Armida Gonzalez of Ejido Modelo Jalisco, Mexico.
