Floris Raney

Floris (Tillie) Raney, 93, of Rhodes, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Jan. 25, with her family by her side. She was born July 13, 1921 to Charles Sherman and Mary Porter Stradley in Swan and married Clyde (Jiggs) Raney in 1945. She worked as a dietitian at the Marshall County Care Facility and for nine years owned Jiggs and Tillies in Rhodes. She resided at the State Center Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the last two and half years and made many new friends. She is survived by her daughters: Karen (Mac) McDowell, Janice Eldridge, Vicky (Dennis) Kloppenborg; and one son, Rick Raney (Gert) all of Rhodes; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde (Jiggs) Raney, her parents, siblings, a granddaughter, Angela Clement, and a great-granddaughter, Rachel Manecke.
