Forestine (Nick) Hauser, 83, of the LaMoille community, died Friday April 6, 2007, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday April 11th at 1:30 PM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery at LaMoille. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Nick and her family. Phone 641-844-1234 She was born in Clemons, Iowa on January 29, 1924, the daughter of Fred and Minnie Daisy Watson-Pyle Nichols. Raised and educated in the area, she graduated from the Marshalltown High School in 1941. On July 31, 1944, she was united in marriage to Jim Tuff Hauser in Marshalltown. She had been employed as a cook in the West Marshall Schools for 21 years.Her interests included the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Cubs and bird watching.Also surviving are two children Karen, Mrs. Chuck Vannatta of Gilman and Garry Hauser and his wife Sherry Dolash of Iowa City, Iowa. Five grandchildren survive Brett Vannatta, Brooke Vannatta, Briley Dolash, Tegan Hauser and Sage Dolash-Hauser, and three step-great grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, and one sister.
