Francis was born on May 8, 1938 to the parents of Eugene and Gretchen (Blackstock) Daniels in Centerville, Iowa. He enjoyed spending time with his siblings. He honorably served his country by enlisting in the United States Army twice from March of 1955 until December of 1959 and again in May of 1959 until May of 1965. During his time in the service he reached the rank of E-4. After his return from the military he worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for over 17 years and his rank advanced. He was always open and eager to see his children and grandchildren any chance that he could. In his free time he loved to be outside, fishing, camping, and was a fantastic roller-skater. Francis was known to be jokester always smiling and loved to meet new people; and had a way to turn a stranger in to a new friend.   Left to cherish his memory are his children: Francis Elmer Daniels, Kristi Jeane Daniels, Debra (Lee) Hiller, Micheal (Jennifer) Daniels, Gretchen Daniels, and Corey (Tracy) Daniels; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, Brother Harry Daniels, and many nieces and nephews, and daughter-in-law Dani Matic-Daniels. Francis is preceded in death by his son, Adam Eugene Daniels, sisters Patricia Daniels, and Kathleen (Ernie) Miller, brothers, Red Daniels, Harold Daniels, and Richard Daniels, his parents Eugene and Gretchen Blackstock Daniels.
