Gabriel Speas, 21, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at First Congregational Church located at 312 W. He had attended school in the Marshalltown School District graduating with the class of 2009. Gabe had worked for the Times Republican and taught art classes at Fisher Community Center and was a volunteer at the House of Compassion in Marshalltown. Gabe loved art and gave his art as gifts to others, music, enjoyed the outdoors and watching nature around him, riding his bike and loved his friends. Gabe was a very hard worker and will be remembered for the smile he always had on his face.Left to cherish Gabes memoryare his parents Dan (Kim) Speas of Montezuma, Iowa and Diane Speas of Marshalltown, Iowa, his siblings; Samuel (Shelly) Speas, Holly (Grant) Carter and Nate Speas all of Marshalltown and Lilly Speas of Albion, Iowa, nephew Kaleb Carter and his grandparents; Jackie Speas of Illinois and Vergie (Bob) Colt of Texas and step-brother Chad Fabor.Gabriel was preceded in death by his grandparents; Wayne Speas and Jim Ewing.
